Support Families at Delaney Hall

ICE apprehends individuals from across the mid-Atlantic region and detains them at Delaney Hall in Newark. Families often drive for hours for the opportunity of a 30 minute or one-hour visit. 

Food4NJ provides assistance directly to families in four ways:

1. Packing bags of groceries and distributing to families as they leave visitation at Delaney Hall

2. Distributing grocery store gift cards to families in a coordinated effort with other mutual aid groups so that we reach as many families as possible

3. Providing  Uber rides to families so they can visit their loved ones

4. Providing Uber rides to detainees who have been released and need a ride home

Our goal is to build a network of  partners who can contribute $10 a month to provide hope and assistance to these families.  One-time donations are of course gratefully accepted!  

Please join the over 1,000 people who have joined us to help Delaney Hall familes!  While we are able to provide some assistance to over 50 families each week -- it is heartbreaking to see just as many families head home empty-handed.
